This agreement for Electronic Delivery of Property Tax Bills is between the Tax Assessor-Collector of Tarrant County, Texas, (referred to as “Tax Assessor-Collector”) and the hereinafter named and identified individual (referred to as “Taxpayer”) entitled to receive a tax bill covering taxable property in Tarrant County, Texas, on the date agreed to and executed by the said individual. 1. The individual entering this agreement is entitled to receive tax bills for the property tax account(s) identified. 2. Completion and acceptance of the terms of this agreement constitutes Taxpayer’s agreement to receive electronic bills in accordance with the provisions of this agreement and the TEXAS PROPERTY TAX CODE 31.01(K). 3. Following the execution of this agreement, all tax bills for the identified accounts will be delivered by electronic means until this agreement is terminated in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 9. 4. The e-mail will include a summary of the detailed information included in tax bills required by TEXAS PROPERTY TAX CODE 31.01(k). 5. Taxpayer remains responsible for maintaining an e-mail account in a manner so as to allow the receipt of electronic tax bills from Tax Assessor-Collector. Tax Assessor-Collector is not responsible for the non-receipt of electronic bills. 6. Tax Assessor-Collector has made every reasonable attempt to design electronic bills to be of a size capable of being received by normal commercial internet providers. Tax Assessor-Collector, however, will not be responsible for non-receipt of electronic tax bills due to size limitations of any e-mail account. Taxpayer remains responsible for maintaining an e-mail account with sufficient capacity to receive the electronic tax bills of Tax Assessor-Collector. 7. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW, FAILURE TO SEND OR RECEIVE A TAX BILL REQUIRED BY TAX CODE 31.01, INCLUDING ANY TAX BILL TO BE DELIVERED BY ELECTRONIC MEANS PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT, DOES NOT AFFECT THE VALIDITY OF THE TAX, PENALTY, OR INTEREST, THE DUE DATE, THE EXISTENCE OF A TAX LIEN, OR ANY PROCEDURE INSTITUTED TO COLLECT A TAX. 8. All information provided in this agreement is a public record and is subject to disclosure. To the extent that any information in this agreement might otherwise be confidential pursuant to law, such confidentiality is waived. By accepting this agreement, Taxpayer affirmatively consents to the release of all information provided by this agreement. 9. This agreement remains in effect for all tax bills for the identified account(s) until the Taxpayer is no longer entitled to receive a tax bill for the identified account(s). 10. Taxpayer’s acceptance constitutes acceptance of all terms of this agreement as of the date of acceptance and submission.
